Product Description

Planar Waveguide Technology PLC Splitters

The PLC splitters are based on Planar Waveguide Technology. They provide a cost-effective and space-saving networking solution. They are key components in FTTx networks and are responsible for distributing the signal from the central office to multiple premises. They feature a very wide operating wavelength range from 1260nm to 1620nm.

With their compact size, these splitters can be utilized in in-ground and aerial pedestals, as well as rack mount systems. Designed for small spaces, they can be easily placed in formal joint boxes and splice closures to facilitate welding without requiring specially reserved space. Our PLC splitter family features either ribbon or individual fiber output. We provide a complete series of 1xN and 2xN splitter products tailored for specific applications.

All splitters provide guaranteed optical performance and high reliability that meet GR-1209-CORE and GR-1221-CORE requirements. LGX Box type PLC fiber optical splitters provide a cost-effective and space-saving product suitable for ever-changing networking requirements. Installation is simple using a variety of connector types or fusion splicing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What technology are these splitters based on?
These splitters are built using Planar Waveguide Technology, which provides a highly reliable, compact, and cost-effective networking solution.
What is the operating wavelength range of these devices?
They support a wide operating wavelength range, typically from 1260nm to 1620nm (extending up to 1650nm as per testing specifications).
Can these PLC splitters be used in confined spaces?
Yes, due to their compact sizes, they are designed to fit easily into joint boxes, splice closures, in-ground/aerial pedestals, and rack mount systems without requiring extra dedicated space.
Which standards do these splitters comply with?
All splitters undergo rigorous testing to ensure they meet the strict optical and environmental requirements of GR-1209-CORE and GR-1221-CORE (Telcordia).
What configuration sizes are available?
They are available in both 1xN (from 1x2 up to 1x64) and 2xN (from 2x2 up to 2x64) configurations to meet diverse network distribution designs.
